Luis Salgado
On
Sat. June 3rd, New York City based dancer-choreographer, Luis
Salgado is coming to meet the Tricia Sloan Dance Company
members. He is going to give a New York jazz warm up and combo.
Luis is also going to coach the dancers on their performance
style. He is an amazing dancer and performer who has so
much to offer our company.
Luis started dancing at age ten. His first Tour
happened when he joined the team of the renowned artist Jailene Cintron.
Luis studied dance with local Puerto Rican teachers Leonor Costanzo,
Marcelino Alcalá, Carlos Hernandez, and Petra Bravo among others.
He then moved to New York to train at the Broadway
Dance Center School. Some of his work includes the PBS series “Traps”,
“Dirty Dancing 2 Havana nights"; the Broadway show "The Mambo Kings",
"Fame on 42St" and more.
Luis has found his own soul trough the magic of dance. Nothing has open
more doors and gives him more pleasure than this art. And thanks to
dance he has become the person full of passion and dreams that he is
today.
