Recital Tips #1 - Day of the Rehearsal

  • Each teacher has an allotted slot of time. Within each teacher's time frame the classes will be listed in the order they will rehearse.

  • Dress Rehearsal is really, really important!

  • Rehearsal is held on the stage at Pfleeger Concert Center in Wilson Hall at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ

  • It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to attend dress rehearsal—we are in a new facility and no one knows the stage, backstage and dressing areas.

  • Dancers should be fully attired in their costume, hair style and makeup—just like the show.

  • Parents are welcomed to stay for rehearsal. It is not a pretty sight-but it is fun and exciting.

  • This is the only time you may video tape.

  • Do not let your dancer eat or drink in costume.

  • Be careful of lipstick on costumes.

  • After the dancers perform their dance the teacher will dismiss them and they are free to go home or stay and watch the other classes.

  • Put your child’s name on all parts of the costume, accessories, tights, shoes—everything.

  • Please check your area when you are leaving--we always find a lot of things that are left behind.
