Brenda began her love of dance at a very young age. She studied
ballet tap and jazz with Patty Sloan at the Leonardo Dance Studio.
While in high school Brenda began to student teach and found great
fulfillment in working with children. By attending several yearly
teacher workshops she had the opportunity to study with famous
master teachers such as Debbie Dee, Frank Hatchett, Sherri Gold and
Al Gilbert.
After
graduation from high school Brenda was accepted as a dance major at
Glassboro State College. While in college she continued to teach
dance and found great success in the college performance arena. She
was a member of the college dance company and performed extensively with
them under the direction of Tage Wood, the director of the dance
department. Brenda studied with such well known teachers as Melanie
Stewart, Alexi Yudenich, Barbara Sondonato, Henry Roy, Victor Moreno,
Patti Harris, and Ann Vachon.

As a full time instructor at the Leonardo Dance Studio, Brenda
has taught dance to hundreds of children over the years. She became
certified in Aerobic Fitness and taught fitness classes for several
years. Brenda was the original choreographer and director of the
children's ballet, "The Little Match Girl", which is still being
performed each year. Brenda also helped originate the Dream Girls
Dance Company which has been such a vital part of TSDC over the
years.
As a full time mother of two children, Laura and Billy, Brenda
still teaches at Tricia Sloan Dance Center--one day per week. She
lives in West Deptford Township with her husband, Bill. |
