Like many dancers, Thomas Gant
was put into a dance class as a young child to help with slow motor skills.
Coming from an artistic family it was only natural for Tommy to fall in love
with the art. Over the years Tommy studied at some of the finest schools
in the area. Some of those include, Koresh Dance Co., Children’s Ballet
Theater of Philadelphia, Joffrey II Trainee Co., Dance Del Bello,
Dance Theatre of PA, and the Jessica Moss Dance Co.
His dance technique became
stronger under notable teachers such as Ronen Koresh, Althea Leslie, William
DeGregory, Jeffrey Gribbler, Barbara Sandonato and Delphine DelBello Spencer.
Tommy is a
graduate (pioneer of the program) of the Southern New Jersey Academy of
Performing Arts. |

Tommy danced leading roles in such
ballets as “Don Quixoite”, “Coppelia”, “Nutcracker”, “Sleeping Beauty” and
“Stars and Stripes”. In addition to classical ballets, Tom has also
performed in musicals such as “Swing Kids’, “Footloose” and “Grease”.
Tom credits his high school teacher
and mentor, David Kloss with much of his success. Under David’s
direction, Tom also danced in “Journeys”, “Christmas Carol” and “Beauty
and the Beast”.
In his
senior year of high school, Tommy became the first ever recipient of the
Governor’s Award in Artistic Excellence and Leadership in the Field of
Dance. Tommy is married to fellow dancer, Fang JuChow Gant.
